‘RIA leaves MIA’ chronicle: FIRST STOP, Dusseldorf! ps. Help the whales!!

Okay so I thought Italy was my first stop BUT, in reality, I will be stopping in Dusseldorf, Germany for about a 10 hour lay over!! And so, after googling cool places in Dusseldorf we discovered that during our mini stay in the city, the Largest Fair on the Rhine (German: Größte Kirmes am Rhein) will be taking place (pic below) !! HOW COOL IS THAT?? Nice coinkidink I think! ( hehe! that rhymed…) Will let you know how it goes, when I’m there.

Ok. So as I said before, I’m just writing to you all as if this were some sort of diary, but what makes this diary special is that this time on the other end is an endless and anonymous audience – some of you I do know of course…others, I hope to meet soon! and to the rest of you… completely anonymous relationships are welcome as well =)…there something mysterious and cool about it.

Now moving along to something exciting I got to do before leaving and I want to share it with you especially because if you’re in South Florida you can help too! Last week, I went to Key Largo to help hold up pilot whales in the water. The whales were stranded on a sandbar of the coast of the Keys and many died, but those that survived need OUR help. They’re so exhausted, they can’t hold themselves up to take breaths and recover, so if you have 4 hours of your time to spare, make trip and help some whales! It’s very rare to encounter whales like these because they’re deep sea whales… “cheetahs of the sea” as the Head Vet from the Marine Mammal Conservancy said. Honestly I was so happy to be a part of something like this…touching that animal (not petting it, let’s be clear) was so beautiful. I felt I connected a little more with our ocean just by standing in the water and holding up this whale, they are so intelligent and so powerful, it’s humbling.

So yeah, GO HELP!! =D… You’ll do something different in a new place, help mother nature out and just experience something beautiful. Here a site for more info: http://tinyurl.com/3ca9bpb

RIA leaves the MIA: A Chronicle from South Florida to Europe!!!…Whose with me?? LET’S GO!

So today is officially the 3rd to last Monday until I take my talents across the seas to the ancient world…holy cow!! THIS IS CRAZY. Literally just 4/5 months ago I was looking at this date as a probability sooo far ahead in the distance behind the horizon, and now…it’s right around the block!! It’s here. This is my reality…my new reality! A reality that I want to share with you starting TODAY.

( Can you imagine me traveling along that line (above) in an airplane…sleeping, reading, composing…aahh! )

I want to chronicle my experience and journey with YOU….every single one of you. So from now, I will do my best to start with 2 posts a week on important happenings leading up to my flight to Europe…first stop: Rome, Italy!!! Depending on time and wireless accessibility, I will post as often and as much as I can to keep you all informed. Some of my trip will be vacation, other will be work…but to me its all the same: I LOVE WHAT I DO and it’s not for anything but I LOVE YOU ALL 2…Really. I cannot say it enough, how much you all mean to me and my music. You are a catalyst, an inspiration, a motivation. And so I’m looking forward to this cyber journey with you <3 Now, given that I will be learning new languages and stuff, during my EURO CYBER CONCERT SERIES (more info below!!) I might just surprise you with a song from that city or country...something new that might inspire me. Music is a universal language and I would love to learn to sing in other languages. Imagine connecting with sooo many more people, how incredible would that be?.... I speak English & Spanish and just with that I can connect with almost half the world...so I cannot imagine what possibilities there will be when I learn more languages ( and yes I plan to ) and reach millions of more people!

...I'm not sure if I've expressed how incredibly excited I am about all of this! And by this I mean:
traveling to a new world
learning new languages
performing for new peeps & audiences! ***REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS***
making new music <3
establishing new connections
trying new & delicious foods ***AND THIS!*** ; )
experiencing new moments & challenges
and the list goes on...but this is good for now =)

Okay, lastly!..about the CONCERT SERIES: We will be posting specifics this week, but make sure to note I will be doing a EURO KICK-OFF CONCERT to start the series before I go. It looks like the date will be either Fri. July 8th or Sat. 9th and the time is still TBA. I would really appreciate it if you could suggest of those 2 days which is most convenient and what time works best for you to tune in online & watch LIVE!
The whole point is that your in this with me =D. So lmk asap!... the sooner we get suggestions the quicker I will decide and announce it!! So you know in advance, the show will take place at: www.stageit.com .
